In September 2020 two conferences on Systems Science and Cybernetics are taking place in Moscow.

18th WOSC Congress
16 – 18 September 2020

Systems approach and cybernetics, engaging the future of mankind –
The significance

Call for active participation

Increasingly, people and institutions are recognizing the systemic nature of our world and the relevance of systemic thinking as a foundation to deal with the complexity of technological, social, environmental and economic issues.

In WOSC 2020, young and creative researchers are addressed who are willing to develop and share cyber-systemic perspectives on how to understand and manage the future of mankind.
The Congress mission is related to the requisite variety notion that transdisciplinary research can only be achieved supporting researchers from all disciplines in an integrative working environment.

For this purpose, WOSC 2020 is focusing on the following four themes:

    1. Philosophical and methodological foundations for the development of the systems approach and cybernetics
    2. The cybernetics of society, ecology and governance
    3. Technology and humanity: co-developing a hybrid reality
    4. Transdisciplinarity of systems sciences and cybernetics: developing areas of knowledge with sub-topics:
      • Learning, Teaching and Education
      • Health, Healthcare and Medicine
      • Business and Economy
      • Hospitality and Tourism

2020 ASC Conference
15 – 19 September 2020

Philosophical and methodological foundations for the development of the systems approach and cybernetics

Systems science, cybernetics and art

Call for participation

ASC will be holding its 2020 meeting in Moscow as a co-located event with WOSC.

WOSC 2020 and ASC invite participants to discuss alternatives of observers in human activities, starting from a modernist approach of external observers accepting an objective reality, continuing with observer-participants, as interacting agents constructing their situational realities, and extending all this to an increased awareness of the complexity of the contextual constraints imposed by the structural coupling of systemic and environmental agents in co-evolution in ecosystemic chains.

ASC members are asked to submit contributions which can be discussed in any of five sub-themes:

  1. Systemic approaches and cybernetics: philosophical and methodological bases of development
  2. Critical Systems Thinking and the Management of Complexity
  3. The implications of CyberSystemics in Science and Society
  4. Organization Theory in a CyberSystemic World
  5. Systems science, cybernetics and art.
